Back markers

In single player mode, multiple locations, multiple cars on ps5, if on lead lap I get told that I'm catching back markers and they're not there. Or if I'm a lap down I'm given blue flags but the leaders are nowhere around. I think it's on certain track sections, possibly where two parts of a track run close together. Would be nice to get the information but only when it's relevant, as in when the leaders and lapped traffic are on the same piece of road
 
Yes, this happens every lap at Lexington as you approach the start/finish line - even if you can't see the car ahead, the 'backmarker ahead' voice is triggered each time
 
Yeah I think you're right. But it also happens when the pitlane is empty. I think it's when there are cars on a close piece of track next to the piece of track you are on. For example running down the back part of the circuit whilst you might be on the front straight

It happens so often on the Sebring 300 in LMDH. I am always told that the back markers are in front but there are no cars. Idem for lapped cars
