Moza R3 calibration Xbox

When I do the wheel calibration on my Moza R3 I'm not sure if I'm doing it right. On the second step, do I just turn it a quarter ( 3 o'clock ) from zero or turn the wheel to it's fullest?
It's set to 900 in pithouse so when I turn it a quarter of a turn it registers as 20 percent.
Also the R3 gets recognised as just a generic device wheel, why is that?

20 seems right for a 900º.
Regarding the naming, it's something that changed around November last year. We're not sure yet of the reason exactly, but we're looking into it.

Ok.
The wheel animation isn't 1:1 with my wheel, is that a bug?

Can you show me a video of it in-race or during a P or Q session ?
The first clip is ACC showing the first hairpin at Monza. The second one is PMR.
Both Xbox Series X with Moza R3 set to 900 in pithouse.
Both recorded as I drove it in game, curiously when watching the PMR replay, the animation is normal.

That does not look like 900º, what are your settings (all of them) in the Moza Racing mobile app ?

Nothing out of the ordinary, in fact it's default settings, the wheel rotation is definitely 900 max.
I'll have to screenshot the settings next time I'm on

The game only registers the wheel as generic, which is annoying, given that it is the only moza wheel available for Xbox.

If you want the steering wheel movement on screen to match you wheel’s you have to set it at 2000. It feels a bit weird but it’s playable. Either that or remove the steering wheel from the cockpit view.

I guess for now I'll set a separate profile in pithouse just for PMR at 2000.
It's fine at 900 in ACC and EA WRC so I'll just have to remember to switch profiles.
It might be a bug just with the Moza tbh cos I've not seen this issue with some other wheels

It's how I've always done it in cockpit view

While I was joking, trying removing the wheel. Then adjust your view so it's like you are sitting where the steering wheel would be. I do believe that will give you a better experience in all sims.

I'll give it a go but tbh even though technically I do have two wheels in my eyeline ( physically and virtually ) I don't really notice the IRL wheel ( the same as you're don't stare at your real cars wheel while driving, you're looking at the road ), so the one on screen is more like a visual representation of what the steering is doing. The main issue I have is that it's as if the wheel on screen is set to something like 400, where it's turning far too quickly than the car is moving. That's why I think it's a visual bug because if I ignore it, the car does drive pretty decent

It's a visual distraction. It can be used in almost a debugging way to make sure the car is doing what your wheel wants. Never in any race car I've driven have I seen two steering wheels. If I did, my doctor would "not" clear me to race. 🤪

Rather than start a new post.
Is there a soft spring mod for the accelerator pedal?
I got my new R3 today and wow what a difference it is compared to the g920.
Going to order the brake mod but would like the accelerator to be a bit harder.
Cheers

I had a G920 with the axcsim truebrake mod, so when I got the R3 I also got the brake mod. I also added an even stiffer spring in the first stage to recreate the truebrake feel. As for the throttle, I'm fine with how it is as standard but there's a few mods available
