Are you still running 'old faithful' gear from 10 years ago (yes) or are you busily researching 'best steering wheel 2024'.

Show & Tell us what you've got, and what you'd like to upgrade to if those Black Friday deals were juicy enough.

Template to copy/paste if that helps:

The whole process took many years. Starting with the Thrustmaster T2 and a 386, then the Thrustmaster TX on my desk, a short foray into the Fanatec world, and a first rig. I've been very happy since the beginning of the year.

I am just about to upgrade cpu to the above, currently on 5950x, so it will be a substantial upgrade. I don't play as much as I did, I spend more time creating 3d models, texturing and processing data, thus the cpu choice :)

I don't do a lot of racing these days, I prefer to stick to 6hr+ endurance team races where possible. As such, although there are some bits of my kit I think I want to upgrade, I won't really do them justice, so I'll stick with the following for now

Trakracer frame
Fanatec CSW 2.5 base
Fanatec CSP v3 pedals
Thrustmaster h-shifter
Meta Quest 3 VR

On the wall are framed copies of the pCARS1 LE case with my 'quote' from the booklet in a small cutout window below the discs, whilst the other frame houses one of the pCARS2 hotwheels cars as well as an A3 print of the screenshot I took for the hotwheels box art.

As we live in a rather 'modest' house, I've never had anywhere other than our living room to set up the rig (which Mrs Savoury hated.. obviously).

20 years later, now that (the aforementioned and long suffering) Lady Sav has moved up the corporate ladder sufficiently to work from home on a permanent basis I decided to build and convert a wee summerhouse as an office for her. But not only an office.. there is room for a sofa and tables etc, so we also have lovely wee space to watch movies in the evenings. But not only an office and a movie room.. oh no.

Finally there was somewhere to set up the rig, which is easily dismantled and moved when necessary and is now my wee slice of heaven!
