"It would be really cool and innovative if, in Career Mode, we could create a team and invite a friend to be our teammate. Just like in real-world racing teams, we could win the career mode together by combining our points. No other racing simulation game offers this — the closest are the F1 games, but they focus more on beating your teammate than winning championships together. Is this something that could be implemented?"

I can play in my friend's career game in Grid Legends. You can do this in the F1 games too. It's been a big selling point for those games for my friends to pick up.
 
"I’ve never played Grid Legends, but F1 in teams is more competitive than cooperative. F1 encourages you to beat your teammate, which isn’t wrong, since that’s how it works in real life. But what I mean is something where you could actually work together on track, thinking as a team, like a true co-op. That would happen if the game’s focus were on beating the other teams instead of the other drivers."
