Problem with Dave Cam is that he's been spoilt with iracing for so long and anything else is inferior.
He also has taken a dislike to Assetto corsa Competizione lately.
I do like his video's as I'm a subscriber and often watch his driving skills but I don't own iracing as my rig could not handle it.
I'm happy with what ever comes out on console.
As for Forza the driving is crap but the paint section is great.

I'm not exactly sure how a day 1 experience could trash anyone's reputation, plenty of other sims have had rocky births and gone on to be very popular games.

It's because this is the 3rd time Ian Bell has mislead people about his developments, starting with Project Cars 1.

It's actually the 4th but at least they dropped warnings with PC3. People who know better are presenting PMR better than it is rather than owning up and fixing it before dropping it on customers unaware.

Let's see this release day build that reviewers apparently don't have yet and the day one patch that fixes all these issues and see if S4 has been walking their talk or just pumping their own tires.

Edit: Gamer Muscle can be weird in his takes. I'm not the first to say this. I think he's a good guy but something is off with his tastes vs most simmers. For example, he doesn't like AMS2 FFB, and I would've agreed, but in the last few months I found out how to fix FFB to get a clean, pure feel out of it and I'm enjoying it again. Seems odd he hasn't been able to as well. Even weirder, he says the more he played LMU the more he disliked it. He also mentions many times how he think AC1 is some pinnacle of physics, handling, and ffb. Strange for such an old, antiquated game that even Kunos said they improved on in ACC and ACE. I'm not sure what to think of his takes.

@shovas

What do you think you have to gain pursuing this discussion? People can have differing opinions and they all can be right. How is that so? Because they are opinions not fact.

Trust me, I do get it that some people were expecting certain things but this is not the hill to die on.

Let me remind you that you're on the developers own forum. Imagine people talking like that in your own home.
I can understand certain concerns people might have, but before making such statements, wouldn't it be better to see what PMR is like when it releases?
Only then you can really have a real opinion about it.
But i do hope you will be more civil expressing it then.

maybe S4S could get this in game ...

I watch this one in a fast forward type of way but I think, for him, the only real issue is the above limit tire behavior right?

He talking about out the iRacing Dirt Oval racing:

I did a test on both iRacing and World of Outlaws 24 (WoO 24) set on Expert for a comparison. I think both have their qualities and similarities. I like the mud feel on iRacing. But, it appears that it maybe a task to get a track with ruts in iRacing. The ruts can be felt through ffb on WoO 24 on a dry track. Imo, if you are looking for a dirt track game without the iRacing subscription WoO 24 will suffice. I would imagine neither title truly captures certain effects like the "dust bowl effect" of a dried track. I know Austin posted some videos showing the speeds were a little faster than real life in WoO 24. Imo, it's a good enough game for those who want some casual dirt racing fun.

nice, that Red Bull shows a photo of their 'unlicensed' track called Spielberg ;)
But i assume, the person who wrote that, never played the game himself :D
